Pheaks
Trail-day walkthroughs, screen samples, and a developers' page live in the guides: joiners, organizers, coordinators, and how the web app is put together. This page stays the searchable FAQ.
Create an account, finish your Tourism Manifest (including a nickname), open a listing, pick a date and a pickup stop, and pay. You can screen organizers by their ratings and reviews before you book. That is why Pheaks exists.
You owe Pheaks one convenience fee per head. The trip fee goes to the organizer on every channel they posted (GCash, Maya, a payment link, a bank account, a QR). Those details show on checkout, the ticket, and the confirmation email. That is the amber number. How much they want up front is the downpayment on the listing, and it is their call, not Pheaks'.
At checkout you choose one stop from the organizer's list. That stop is printed on your ticket. If the organizer later edits the listing, your ticket keeps the stop you already chose. Ask them to move you on the manifest if you need a different van.
So the van list and Messenger paste show the name people actually call you. If the organizer includes bag tags in the package, they use that nickname too. Certificates still use your full legal name.
Yes, on the same trip, if they already have a Pheaks account and a complete manifest. You pay once; each friend gets their own ticket and pickup choice. Each head still owes one convenience fee. You can also pay for yourself on more than one date of the same listing in one checkout.
An unpaid booking can be released for free. After you are Reserved, cancelling before call time releases your slot. If Pheaks charged a convenience fee on that booking, it keeps it. If the organizer cancels the trip, any fee Pheaks charged is refunded too. Trip money you sent the organizer is theirs to refund. Pheaks never held it. See Cancellations & refunds.
After you are Reserved, pick a seat. Plate, driver name, and contact show on the ticket once the organizer fills them, often close to pickup, not at publish time. Check-in stays blocked until every van on that date has those details.
Show the QR on your ticket, or read the check-in code underneath if the camera will not focus. A coordinator marks you Attended and whether cash was collected. You cannot check yourself in from home.
After the organizer marks the trip Completed. You can print the Pheaks sheet or download a PDF. If the organizer uploads their own PDF for you, that file is what you download and what email attaches. Hiking trips also count toward your journey stats (summits, highest peak, kilometres). Tours still get a certificate; they do not move those numbers.
Roles are not self-serve. Sign up as a joiner, finish your Tourism Manifest, then apply from Profile. Pheaks reviews every application. Add a Facebook page or website/Instagram link so Pheaks can check your track record. Once approved you can publish listings, assign coordinators, and post every payment channel joiners pay you on. Read the organizer terms and set your activity waiver (or keep the Pheaks default). Joiners can rate you after a completed trip.
Password, a magic-link email, or Google. After Google or a magic link, authenticator 2FA still applies if you turned it on. Remember me keeps this browser for 30 days. Security lists devices Auth can see so you can revoke one or sign out everywhere.
You pick per section: card, hike stats, albums, and upcoming Reserved trips. Each can be only you, signed-in members, or anyone with the link. Upcoming trips default to private. Trip staff still see your Tourism Manifest on trips you booked. Organizers choose which listing fields guests see before they log in; Book still returns you to that listing.
Company web filters often block brand-new domains as "uncategorized" until they are rated as travel. Ask IT to allow pheaks.com (and www.pheaks.com). On a phone or home network the site should open normally.
Every booking accepts a hiking and tour waiver. Pheaks ships a default; the organizer may replace it with their own. You see the live text at checkout, and that snapshot stays on your ticket. Read the default waiver.
