Before you can book
Create an account with a real email and a Philippine mobile number. You can use a password, a magic-link email, or Google. Finish the Tourism Manifest: legal name, age, sex, address, blood type, emergency contact, and medical notes. “None” is a valid medical answer. Blank is not. That sheet is what event staff use if something happens on the trail, so keep it true.
Add a nickname. The van list and Messenger paste use the name people actually call you. Certificates still print your legal name.
Privacy is a matrix, not a hide-everything toggle. Card, hike stats, albums, and upcoming Reserved trips each have private, signed-in members, or anyone with the link. Upcoming trips start private. A stranger knowing you are on Pulag Saturday is a safety issue. Staff of trips you booked still see the Tourism Manifest.
Find a trip
Signed-in joiners land on Home. Each card is one listing, not twelve copies of the same Pulag weekend. You see the next call time, how many more dates exist, the total fee, the downpayment, and remaining slots. Remaining slots turn amber when you should not sleep on it.
Open the listing for photos, trail stats (hikes), pickup points, the organizer's ratings, and the live waiver text. Guests always see cover, title, date, place, organizer, and slots left. The organizer can lock price, itinerary, package, pickups, trail notes, extra photos, or waiver until you log in. Book still returns you to that listing. Booking still needs you signed in as a joiner with a complete manifest.

Pick a date and a pickup
One listing can run many dates. You book a specific morning, not “Pulag sometime in October.” You may book more than one date of the same tour. At checkout you choose one pickup from the organizer's list. That stop is printed on your ticket. If they later edit the listing, your ticket keeps the stop you already chose. Ask them to move you on the manifest if you need a different van.
Pay
Checkout shows the trip total, the downpayment the organizer expects, what Pheaks charges, and what you owe the organizer. Only Pheaks' convenience fee would leave your account in the app, once per head. The amount on screen is settled by the server. Treat the quote as what you are about to be charged, not a number you can edit in the browser.
Amber is what you still owe the organizer. It is loud so nobody “forgets” a ₱2,000 balance in the dark.

Two payments, two places. The convenience fee follows the slot, not the trip.
Pheaks, in the app is the convenience fee, once per head. When one is due, you settle it with GCash, Maya, QR Ph, or card. This is the only money Pheaks touches.
The organizer, directly is the trip fee itself, on any channel they accept (GCash, Maya, a payment link, a bank account, a QR), or cash at the jump-off. Every channel is on your ticket and in your confirmation email from the moment you are Reserved, with their QRs downloadable and their numbers one tap to copy.
How much they want before the trip, and how much at the jump-off, is the organizer's call. The listing states the downpayment they expect. Pheaks shows the number but never holds it.

Paying for friends
On the same trip, you can pay for people who already have a Pheaks account and a complete manifest. You pay once. Each friend gets their own ticket and pickup. Each head still owes one convenience fee. You can also pay for yourself on more than one date of the same listing in one checkout.
Your ticket
After you are Reserved, open Bookings. The ticket is the thing you show at 3 a.m.: QR in the middle, check-in code underneath in case the camera will not focus, pickup, seat, and (once filled) plate, driver, and a number you can actually call.
Pick a seat while it is still empty. Check-in stays blocked for the whole date until every van on that trip has plate, driver name, contact, and a short vehicle description.

At the jump-off
Brightness up. Show the QR. If rain smears the lens, read the code out. A coordinator marks you Attended and whether cash was collected. You cannot mark yourself. After Attended, you cannot cancel. You were on the trip.
After the hike
When the organizer marks the date Completed, you can print a Pheaks certificate or download a PDF. If they upload their own file for you, that file is what you get. Hiking trips count toward journey stats (summits, highest peak, kilometres). Then you may review the organizer, and they may review you. Both directions, after the summit, not before.
If plans change
Unpaid pending bookings release for free. After you are Reserved, cancelling before call time releases your slot and seat. If Pheaks charged a convenience fee, it keeps it, because that paid for the slot. If the organizer cancels the trip, any fee Pheaks charged is refunded too. Trip money you sent the organizer is theirs to refund under their own terms. Pheaks never held it and cannot return it. Full rules: Cancellations & refunds.

Mig already has a Pheaks account and a finished manifest. Ana adds him on the Pulag checkout and picks Trinoma for him and SM North for herself. Two slots, two tickets, and one convenience fee per head when one is due. The two downpayments she sends to Ridge Runners' GCash in one hit. Mig gets his own ticket. Ana does not become his emergency contact. His manifest already has his sister.

Where the trip money actually goes
Ana opens Pheaks checkout. Any convenience fee due is settled there. The trip money is not. Both of Ridge Runners' channels are on the same screen, and land on her ticket and in her email the moment she is Reserved. She taps their GCash number to copy it and sends them the downpayment that night. At Ambangeg, Kaye already knows she is settled. The balance Ridge Runners still wants in cash shouts in amber on the row until someone marks it collected.

Ana reads the check-in code under the QR. Kaye types it. Same ticket, same Attended mark. This is why the code is huge and mono.

She cancels from the ticket before call time. The Pulag slot goes back on the listing. Any convenience fee Pheaks charged stays, because it paid for the reserved slot. The downpayment she sent Ridge Runners is theirs to refund, on their terms, not Pheaks'. Mig is still on the trip unless he cancels too.
